Almondco Almond Hut is part of Almondco Australia Ltd, situated on the Sturt Highway, Renmark. Almondco Almond Hut was established when there was a need to provide sale of almonds and almond products to both locals and tourist. Almondco is now in its 60th year of operation and was formed for almond growers by almond growers.

In 1977 the park was classified as Australia's first Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO's 'Man and the Biosphere Program'.
